Justice is overrated. Interpretations of justice vary depending on a number of factors. George Orwell's short story A Hanging and Audre Lorde's poem Power revolve around three themes that relate to justice: freedom, power, and appropriate forms of punishment.

Justice can be viewed as freedom from biasness and maintenance of equality. Justice has the preconceived notion of being free from all types of bias, which is contradictory to the story outlined in Lorde's poem.
