Poetic Justice by John Daniel Singleton

Abstract

The paper discuss about the film Poetic Justice by John Daniel Singleton. In critics point of view the reality is that probably Singleton has used this film only as a necessary experience for its subsequent maturation in the film genre. The main flaw of the film is basically the screenplay by Singleton's. The dialogues do not have the proper structure to hold the pretense of a protagonist who is strong in moments of inner reflection and poetic declamations. Poetic Justice is not the work from a director who was unable to keep his play in full control of his material; rather it is a picture that has made him consciously to throw out of his control. The film could be far more powerful if this was more focused on solely on the two major characters.
