In the longer run, the community wishes to expand its public relations projects to cover more areas in the US and abroad.

Slim Waste is one the key projects of the Public Relations Agency. In the realm of increasing customer base, improving the quality of products and remain profitable, it is also imperative to give due attention to smarter solutions for recycling of cartons. Currently, the Public Relations Agency is working with a local company, Benson Group, that provides packaging and processing solutions to the European market. The company has been around for the past 60 years and is a brand of choice. The community group takes pride in working for the company.

As per the recent development, our client company is now making cartons out of virgin paperboard. This assures the stiffness of the packaging as well as the safety from the external environment. The paperboard is easily recyclable into other paper products. They can be used for packaging of other products and they can also be converted into tissue papers and toilet rolls. The lining on the side of the packaging which is made of plastic and aluminium can be reused in the production of paraffinic oils that are used in industry. They are also used in roof tiles and aluminium powders. The trend in recycling is shown in the graph hereunder.

The recycling rate of the company as of now is as low as 20 percent. The company hopes to increase this to 40 percent by the end of the next ten years.
