Preparation and attendence

Preparing the workshop has been a good help to slightly understand the following points that we all went through in the workshop, knowing in advance what is and what is not right when working as a part of a team and how to go to the point were also relevant during the session. The complexity of tourism and tourist needs of world population influence the change of tourist request. Requests for new and specific forms of tourism are characteristics of the development of this activity in the beginning of the 21st century. New forms of tourism is more and more requested in the tourist market. It gives a chance for various areas to be included equally with their tourist offer if they have certain potentials and adequate personnel that could include those potentials on the tourist market. The term “versatile tourism and hospitality” has been accepted by many countries, and as such, it refers to all tourist activities in various areas. Special forms of tourism could be tourism on homestead, hunting, fishing, ecotourism, health, recreational, residence (houses for vacation), educational, adventurous, transit, camping tourism, continental nautical tourism, gastronomical and ethno gastronomical, tourism of protected parts of nature, cultural tourism, religious, other specific forms (Strong, 2006, pp. 44).

What you learned from the workshop

Project development is defined as an application which related to the logical tools of planning, directing, and controlling. Projects have limited completion time and therefore, time management is very vital for achieving goals within given time constraints. Each project has unique goals and constraints; therefore project is one time endeavor. All projects have some constraints which include defined start and end date, limited funds, human resource, multifunctional experts (Sofield, 2003, pp. 25-30, 58-65).I have learnt of how to schedule time, how to prepare a presentation and know the limitations and length of time and number of words to present the audience the idea and make them understanding the purpose and the intention of our team when offering the product.

What you changed as a result of the workshop

The report was launched in 1987 by United Nation appointed World Commission on Environment and Development. The commission's work was part of sustained efforts by the United Nations to rouse common efforts toward sustainable development in acknowledgment that environmental problems are interlinked and can best be solved under a global framework. The interdisciplinary commission was composed of influential experts representing the developed and developing world. The commission incorporated views of public discussion panels and three advisory groups (Richards, 2003, pp. 99).

Brundtland report consistently focuses on the environment and development that should be viewed as inextricably interlinked. It suggests that for the improvement of environment, it is necessary to develop the basic needs to at least balance the environmental conservation. The Brundtland report has talked about the sustainable development that the country should do in order to enhance the tourism. Tourism is healthy for the country as it contributed a lot in the ...
