This paper has been written with regards to psychodynamic theory also known as Freudian theory and cognitive psychology. Comparison between the two theories has been made and further details have also been provided with regards to the topic. Psychodynamic perspective assumes the experiences throughout the development cycle. However, they play a major role in shaping the personality during early childhood. For this reason, the psychodynamic perspective must give attention to the stories of its clients in the development. They experience events that are important such as divorce; the birth of siblings, serious illnesses during childhood, major movements' family and the lack of accessories that are important for children. Moreover, it also includes psychological characteristics and qualities of caregivers of children of key clients.

Similarities and Differences
These experiences must be studied, and their impression on the adults must be realized in order to solve the problems of the clients. For example, divorce of parents, death of a parent or becoming a victim of sexual abuse can have a mental affect in different ways. However, this depends on the time it happened and whether the chief caregivers of the child, helped the child to manage the experience of extreme pain or bringing its harmful exposure together (Schunk 2008, pp.14). Although Freud is recognized as the founder of psychoanalysis (on which the psychodynamic therapies are based), the principles and foundations of psychodynamic theory are revealed many times. These have persisted throughout the history, from religious texts to the role of myths, as universal means of describing the experience of society and the individual. These stories speak of key experiences of love and hate, of envy and rivalry, of grievance and forgiveness. Moreover, they tell how human beings act beyond their conscious logic and are affected by their experiences in profound ways. Cognitive psychology is a new scientific paradigm in place of behaviourism, and is the branch of psychology that studies the way humans have to learn, think and make decisions, to understand the world around us and act accordingly. This is the observation of behaviour and cognitive psychologists are the ones who give suggestions with regards to the issue.
