Introduction

Public policy refers to the process whereby the members of a geographic area or political unit make choices that address their areas and issues of concern. In modern democracies, public policies are typically generated by the governing (legislative) and administrative (executive) branches of the government. In this paper I will be discussing one particular domestic public policy issue in the current political environment.
