Introduction

Jose Antonia Vargas is known as a journalist par excellence, and he has written high profile news organization all throughout his career. He is the founder of a movement called “Define American” and he obtained American immigration at the age of 12. Recently, he gained immense media coverage, and he was part of speculation after his article "My Life as an Undocumented Immigrant,” Essay published in New York Times, and it was part of their summer's edition. The essay itself is a good read, and it has to be said that it provides somewhat new perspective about American and this whole idea of American Dream. America has always been termed as land of dreams and land of opportunities.

There are enormous opportunities for people who are working over here. Sadly, most people get blinded by this notion, and they think that they can get away with anything they want. This is not the case, however good America is for its citizens, it is pretty much clear that when you live in this country, especially in the days of terrorism, and when there are lingering concerns about the safety and security of the American citizens, then it is a significant illusion you are living in.

Thus, one has to be cautious when one is stepping a foot in America as even though it might be a great nation, off late it has not been particularly kind to illegal immigrants.
