Risk Management

Introduction

Risk assessment is not a new subject, but it is a legal obligation introduced into the legislations of every country, region and state, which is, in turn, integrated into the Labor Code. A risk assessment is a systematic investigation of all risks workstations, work equipment and employees. The employer is obliged to ensure the safety and health of employees in all aspects of the job. The employer must prevent accidents, and ensure that the places of work, work equipment, and the instructions are in accordance with the requirements of the prevention and regulations that are applicable to activities and the business operations. If a facility has a defect and if they are exposed to hazards which cannot be prevented, then the installation must be stopped. The purpose of risk assessment and risk management is to eliminate, deviate or at least reduce the existing risks and identify measures that are essential to ensure the safety and health of employees on their workstations. Thus, the risk assessment is a tool for the employers, so that they can guarantee the safety and health of employees at their workstations. Risk is the likelihood that the consequences-born splendor, damage, actually materializes at a particular place. A hazard becomes a risk when there is exposure and therefore results into the possibility of adverse consequences. The exposure occurs when there is the danger of contact between a person and the place where damage may take place or which is dangerous. On the other hand, without exposure, there is no possibility of damage. In the capacity of software engineering, the concept of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) refers to an array of methodologies and principles responsible for the development and design of software in the shape of services that are interoperable. These services perform business functionalities that are well-defined and these are established as software components that can be used repetitively for numerous varying purposes. The design principles of SOA are utilized in the stage of system design, development and integration. Generally, the SOA takes out way for the consumers of services like web-based applications. It also includes XML which is generally utilized in order to interface with the services provided by the SOA. The integration of broadly disparate applications is defined by SOA in order to manage them in a Web-based environment. It utilizes numerous platforms for implementation. Instead of defining an API, the interface is defined by SOA with respect to its functionality and protocols. Nowadays, SOA is widely used in the range of distributed computing and modular programming (O'Brien, Mary, 2002).

Numerous software is utilized to manage data and information in the organizations. There are various kinds of risks that might take place in a certain organization. Various legacy databases and other software such as XML, MS Visual, and SOA are utilized in order to formulate backup and recovery strategies, design and implementation, ...
