Abstract

The study aims to analyze the three survey results related to entertainment, political and economic views of general public. The paper mainly attempts to study the sampling techniques used to collect data. The below discussion also reveals the survey about fast food restaurant McDonalds and concludes that the company has to focus in improving the taste of meals.

Introduction

The study plans to analyze the three survey results related to entertainment, political and economic views of general public. The discussion is about the results of the surveys related to politics, entertainment and an economics discussion. The paper mainly attempts to study the sampling techniques used to collect data. The below discussion also reveals the survey about fast food restaurant McDonalds and the sampling technique used to conduct this survey.

Entertainment Survey

The survey is conducted in order to find the preference source of news among young people. Sample size of 30,000 young people of age 12 to 18 years is used to analyze the results. Primary Data about the preference source of young people for news is collected from the poll at a website. According to the census conducted in United States the number of young people in United States in 2011 is 260,000 means the sample size of the survey represents the 10-15% of the total population. The results of the survey show that 61% of the sample size prefers radio as news source while 56% and 52 % young people prefer to use social network websites like twitter and face books as news source respectively. Newspapers came on third as 26% of the young people prefer newspapers as an entertainment source.

The survey also reflects that young people also prefer knowing news because 70% of the young group polled to know about current news and 56% people post their views about news on social network websites.

Furthermore, survey also reveals that 82% of the young people think that media discourage them in order to understand the current affairs and youth want to engage themselves in current affairs news. 95% of the young people want to have chances to participate in news related to current affair.

From the survey it is recommended that as the data of the survey tells that most of the young people want to listen radio therefore more channels should be launched in radio network. In addition to this media has to give chance or take measures in order to increase the participation of young people in current affairs news. Talk shows of young people should be introduced to share the ideas and views of the youth related to news.

Political Survey

The survey is conducted to share the views of public about the performance of job responsibilities of Obama, Primary data is collected through telephonic interviews. Sample size of the survey is 1512 adults' means including people of 18 years of age or above.
