About Schizophrenia

The term 'Schizophrenia' pertains to the development of a major psychological disorder through the course of life. It is defined as “the mental illness that is caused by the disruption in the mechanism of mental functioning, it is a long-term mental illness that comprises of the breakage of the mechanism that inter-connects behaviors, thoughts and emotions. The resultant of the disease encompasses of the faulty perception, inappropriate actions and a withdrawal from reality and social relationship, the disease to a complete fragmentation of thoughts.” The disease is one of the most serious and widely spread mental disorders prevailing upon the blue planet.

The mental disorder affects the entire cognitive mechanism of the individual, and therefore, he is no able to percept the reality, it deludes the image of real-life situations for the individual, and therefore, the development of a broken, faulty and misguided approach towards self, as well as, the world around. The notion behind the disorder is based upon the thinking and behavioral outcomes of the individual are disrupted. The individual is no more capable of behaving as a normal person, and therefore, he is no more capable of socializing, rationalizing and so on. The affect of the disease is mainly upon the way ideas and thoughts are formulated in someone's mind.

There are several factors that contribute to the occurrence and development of Schizophrenia, such as, the development in the micro-biology of cells, as well as, the disturbance in the psychological makeup of the mental faculty, however, the phenomenon is not permanent as the studies show, there is no fixed reason that gets someone to the Schizophrenia, but merely could be a factor that contributed to it one way or the other.

Schizophrenia occurs with positive, as well as, negative symptoms. The context of mentioning the premise is because that there are people suffering from severe Schizophrenia, yet they are leading a masterful life, whereas, the case is reverse in some situations. Most commonly, the side of the disease is negative, and therefore, the patient and his family suffers a lot more than otherwise.

The nutshell of the disease encompasses of the paradigm that the one who suffers with this; is not able to separate the real from the unreal. It is a very challenging disorder that does not merely take one person in the scope of devastation created by it, but rather, the family members, the social circle and everyone who has the contact with the patient one way or the other. It is sometime caused by the over dosage of psychotic medicine, whereas, sometimes it is caused after a colossal shock faced by the individual. The disorder has nothing to do with the mental torment, but rather, it takes the individual from the real world to the false world of illusions, the people who live with the person has to suffer the same kind of deprivation, and therefore, find it difficult to sustain (Foster, 2003).
