Science of Pornography

Introduction

Pornography is often distinguished from erotica, which is the representation of sexuality with high-art aspirations, focusing also on feelings and emotions, while pornography involves the depiction of acts in a sensational manner, with all attention on the physical act, so as to raise quick intense reactions. Pornography has been found to be associated with harmful affects to human brain forcing the human mind to engage in such activities. The physical effects of pornography are the more recent findings in science, like the stuff about how porn affects your brain. Believe it or not, the chemicals released when viewing pornography are the same chemicals released when using drugs, which is why pornography is now being called addictive. Soft core pornography is the art which includes posing nude bodies with suggestive actions simulating the feelings of sex, where pornography portrays subjective sexual matter for gratification of sexual emotions. It can be used in various mediums including books, magazines, photos, drawings, paintings, sound recordings, films and videos. The term is used for depicting the act and does not portray sex shows or striptease. A porn model poses for still photos. A porn star performs in pornographic films. If there are no dramatic skills, the actor engaged in pornography can be called a porn model. Here, this must not be forgotten that pornography has been a target of censorship and legal restraints because of societal restrictions. This is different for different locations based on history, culture and nationality. With the emergence of social attitudes, more tolerant and specific legal definitions of sexuality and obscenity have been identified. The introduction of home videos and the Internet saw a boom in the global porn industry and generates billions of dollars annually. The following paper identifies and elucidates the science of pornography.

Science behind condoms

If a decade ago less than 5% condoms were used, today this figure has shot and stands on a par. What has changed, according to the survey, are the contraceptive methods used by people. According to the Survey of Quality of Life and Health of 2000, prepared by the Ministry of Health, the majority of the population uses intrauterine devices (IUD) and the pills. A less number of people use condoms. In developed countries it is expected that at least 75% of the population uses prevention methods (Malamuth, n.d). It would be desirable that methods like IUD or pill will be used even more, but it is the use of condom only which helps in prevention of the transmission of diseases through sexual intercourse.

Sex Games and other methods to create/arouse the feelings of sex

Everything is sex. The windows of all kinds, especially virtual, are responsible for rubbing it in the face. Sex toys like dildos, vibrators and others are breaking silently in the society. Although the number is still low, but it is increasing with time. This is just beginning, five years ago very few people by knew about these devices.
