Introduction

United States is one of the biggest nations in the world. The political system of the United States is very strong in this regard. The constitution is the key to the regulatory bodies where all the required laws and regulations are mentioned. There is a term used in the domestic politics as “separation of power”. This separation of power is related to the political grounds of the economy. This term was initially introduced by the French social political philosopher. This term basically refers to the political authorities, who are related to the states, and they are then further classified as legislative, judicial and the third one is related to the executive.

A balanced constitution is maintained and it reduces the individual power which means that the single ruling is wiped out. The idea was that in order to maintain the liberalism within the social boundaries, all of these three of the powers should operate desperately. The reason is that, when these three authorities will work as a separate entity, and independently, the division of government responsibilities can be accomplished. This will enforce the authorities to demonstrate their operations separately so that there will be no intervening between them.

As explained before, the term separation of power is referred towards the political powers that government can generate. These separate authorities are legislative, judicial and executive. Liberalism is very important for these government authorities; it has some of the advantages and some of the disadvantages as well. But the main concern is that due to the division of these government responsibilities into different branches, the chances of collision or superseding the other department will decrease (Carolan, 2009, pp. 121-129).

This will provide the government with the chance to evaluate each of its divisions separately. It is also important for exercising the functions of these divisions separately, so that their core functions can regulate. When these powers are decentralised from the concentration of their control, the chances for improving the check and balances also increases.

Characteristics of United States Power Branches

The very first power of the government which is termed as legislative is responsible for the maintenance of the laws related to the state. It is also responsible for ensuring that the reserves, in the shape of money are available to the state in the case of emergency as well as for the regular functioning. It is important because the state depends on this department a lot, a minor mistake can cause the economy to suffer with a great loss (Carolan, 2009, pp. 121-129.

The other power related to the government, which is termed as executive branch is the one that deals with the public administration policy. This branch of the government named as executive branch is responsible for the implementation of the policies. These public policies are the one that are backed by the legislative branch, because financing is required in order to run the economy.
