Introduction

Life is beautiful! In order to increase the pleasure and beauty of life people indulge in different activities and adopt different habits. One such hobbies and activity that people indulge in is watching movies and films. Movies and flicks are the good source of entertainment. The increased rate of relying on movies as a source of entertainment puts pressure on movie makers to make movies on new, unique and intriguing topics. As we know that work in every artistic field is done by getting inspiration from some things. Similarly, for the movie makers novels and stories become the source of inspiration to produce movies. This is not a new concept rather in Hollywood; there have been many instances of movies that are novel based. The aim and objective of this paper is also to discuss which of the novels I think would make up a great movie.

The novel that I think would make up a great movie is “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.

About the Author

This novel is written by an eminent and prolific writer Paulo Coelho. He is a Brazilian writer. Today, he is considered as one of the most widely read writer today. He has won a number of prestigious awards among the most famous awards that he received includes Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum and France's Legion d' Honneur. He mostly writes about the self improvement, life and human nature. Most of the book that he writes about revolves around include how a person can live a contended and peaceful life. He wrote his first book in the year 1982 with the name of Hell Achievers. For this ambition he is so committed that he also administers a blog and chare short stories and his writings through which people can change their lives (Riding, 2011, 4).

Paulo Coelho Novels and its Adaptations

There are many novels and short stories of Paulo Coelho that have been adapted by the media. In the year 1998, based on his novel Brida a mini-series of 52 episodes went on air. In 2009, a film was made on Veronica decides to die (Guy, 2009, 13).
