As compared to other countries, American health insurance system is not reliable, difficult to access and full of bureaucratic formalities. The selection of private insurance companies to provide insurance services is not competitive, and they are not serving the nation in the true sense. Studies suggest that “single-payer” financing system along with managed competition is the best alternative for government. This system will achieve universal coverage, control cost, minimizing the bureaucratic interference, increasing patients freedom and improve the overall quality. The purpose of this article is to present the best the health care system which cover all American citizens even the backward areas, along with easy to access quality service without bureaucratic hassle. This health care system will benefit all Americans especially 46 million who lack health insurance. In addition, other countries and policy makers can use this article as a reference. In this article, the present multiple payers system is discussed is discussed thoroughly which contains some fundamental flaws. On the contrary to this, the single payer system is presented which solves these problems and improve the quality, coverage and freedom of the individual. According to the statistics of article 46 million or 16 percent American people are not insured. Every year eighteen thousand unnecessary deaths occur owing to lack of insurance. The estimated cost of covering all the uninsured citizens would be $ 65-110 billion. American government spends more on health for per capita than other countries. On average, there is the rise of 10 percent in health care expenditures. Federal government covers nine million employees and their families.
