Abstract

The research aims at understanding the relationship between state borders and cultural borders, and focus on the statement State borders: a Means to Unify, Divide or Homogenize. This is done in relationship to Bangladesh. Within the short span of 25 years, Bangladesh had undergone two different national movements - the first taking place in 1947 which led to the creation of Pakistan, and the second in 1971 which resulted in the creation of Bangladesh and its secession from Pakistan. Bangladesh, literally stands for the land of Bengal, in the long form is known as the Republic of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a country of the Indian subcontinent. Located north of Bay of Bengal, nearly landlocked in India, it has a small border with Burma. In addition to this, the financial constraints and time-limited breadth and depth of research could include many more variables and to obtain information about the larger population in order to deduce a lot stronger.

According to Bhardwaj, within the short span of 25 years, Bangladesh has had two national movements - the first done in 1947, which led to Pakistan and the other in 1971, which led to the secession of Bangladesh and Pakistan.
