Task 1

Introduction

The study relates to football which focuses on age, gender, season tickets of football games and football team support through which study of attitude of people towards football can be helpful. However, in particular, the study aims to find out who would be most likely to follow football and who would be most likely now to follow football frequently.

Data Description and Data Collection

For the study of football, eight variables are taken into the consideration which focuses on the aspects of who mostly follow football and who mostly likely now to follow football frequently. For the study, data is gathered from 20 people that include both males and females who belong to different age groups. The study entails following variables:

Gender = Are you male or female?

Football Support = Do you support a football team?

Football Team = What team do you support?

Season Ticket = Do you have a season ticket?

Every Home and Away Game = Do you go to every home and away game?

Walk to the Stadium = Do you walk to the stadium?

Drive to the Stadium = Do you drive to the stadium?

From the above table, it is observed that the study entails the responses from both the gender that are male and female. In the study, 35% of female participants gave their opinion regarding the football study; however, 65% of male participants included in the study. Thus, it is found that the majority of the participants are male.

The above table relates to the support a football team which presents that from total 20 study participants, 94% of people support a football team. This reflects that most of the study participants support their certain football team; on the contrary, it is revealed that only 6% of people do not support any football team.

In view of the given table, it is noted that most of the people supports the team of Manchester United as the 30% of study participants support Manchester United. Besides it, 25% of participants support Manchester City and 20% of participants support Wigan Athletic. Moreover, it is also found that 15% of people Liverpool while Everton is being supported by 10% people.

With reference to season tickets, it is found that most of the people who support football have tickets, as 75% of the study participants have season tickets. This represents that the majority of people who follow football have tickets which shows their interest in the game.
