Study Language through One Manner of Thinking

Introduction

This paper intends to provide my view of language learning. Throughout the course, we have studied language with one manner of thinking. A manner which is similar to mathematical thinking remained prominent in this course learning. This assignment would develop a creative and serious aspect of language in accordance with my understanding of it. Applying more inquisitive and scientific manner; I would conduct a study about certain aspects of language. Being quite introvert at core; I would like to reflect how does language vary among people in my neighborhood and in my school. I intend to explore both verbal and non verbal language because I am always interested in exploring people through their non verbal actions more then what they actually speak. Also, the main focus in the verbal language assessment would remain over pronunciation and word choices of different people. Apart from my neighborhood and school; the paper would provide examples of going over the lift in the pub. The purpose of this paper is to make the readers aware about my understanding of language.

Discussion

English being a foreign language for students in countries where English is not the first language usually tends to create immense problems in learning. Further, learning to write a foreign language is exceptionally difficult. Corrective feedback seems to be important in the areas for the purpose of making sure that the students do not lose their motivation to learn English as a second or a foreign language. The beliefs of teachers remain certainly important the teachers are the ones who ensure the correct learning of the students (Benshoff & Lewis, 1992).

The motivation and tolerance level of teachers is important to be high. Further, the writing practices with regard to written corrective feedback of EFL teachers are also important to explore. The basic reason behind this exploration is the fact that the feedback of the teachers provides a deep idea about the progress of the students within the learning of English as a foreign language. Effective communication has several challenges. One of the most important challenges faced within the communication is cross cultural diversity (Smith, 1994). For making an analysis about how people tend to communicate while learning English language; the paper provide important insights.

The exploration of language basically depends over the different manners in which people tend to communicate. The different languages people speak and the differences in the accents and the way of pronunciation of English language make it interesting for me to explore. I have always been an introvert person and therefore I love to observe people talk and making non verbal communication. For this course of language; I have decided to provide a brief overview of the observations I make in my neighborhood related to the way the talk verbally and non verbally.

Firstly; my immediate neighbor, in other words the next door neighbor is a Muslim family. The family seems to be Indian and therefore their accent differs ...
