The research was conducted to assess the awareness and behavior of the students towards the cone beam CT or CBCT. The method of study selected was a survey method in which a survey form which consisted of 11 questions was provided to the student. The total number of students who were included in the study was 472. Among those 472 pupils, 280 students were under graduate and 192 were the post graduate students. Two different institutes were selected for the study that was located in the city Ankara of Turkey. There were differences in the answers of the students according to the differences in institutes, gender and level of qualification. The results were judged with the x2 test. The statistics of results indicated that approximately 63.3% of the students were familiar with the name of Cone beam CT. out of these 63.3% familiar students, the percentage of students who learned about the cone beam CT in their lectures were 59.9%. 20.9% students heard about it by means of internet, 31% became familiar with it by seminars and 76.7% of the students said that the concept of cone beam CT was not explained completely in their courses. 70% of the student's commented that the topic of CBCT should be taught in their clinical studies. 90% students said that cone beam CT should be available in all the faculties of the dental studies and students who had a belief that usage of CBCT will be prevalent in the future at a higher level was 53.5%. 85% students said that they will use the cone beam CT after completion of their studies in their future carrier. Hence, it is concluded in that there should be more programs to create the awareness about the use of CBCT and the topic of cone beam CT should be introduced in the course of dental schools and the dental schools should introduce the new technologies and interventions.

The above study was conducted to judge the complete fulfillment of the procedures of dental radiography that is recommended by the quality assurance for the dental practitioners who are present in the state of North Carolina. The other purpose of the study was to verify the effects of age factor of the practitioners in the fulfillment of the process of dental radiography.

The methodology that was used to conduct the research included the practice of investigation and inspection by the government representatives. These investigations and inspections were performed along with the questionnaires and the instruments of measurement for the assessment of the x-ray machines and the practices of dental practitioners those were working privately. The results showed that in every facility there were about three intraoral units and each unit has the skin exposure with an average of 267mR. The unit of 267mR was with each radiograph of bitewing.
