Introduction

Much of procedures previously performed personally in any private or government facility, currently carried out online. It seems that in the near future, most of our interactions labor, economic matters and social affairs will be managed through electronic technology (Tavani, 2012). Although this alternative has a lot of functionality, acceptance and other favorable characteristics, a question arises: is there an ethical awareness of the proper use of the technology?

Since its inception, the ethics was coined by Aristotle as the philosophical discipline that studies the good, bad and its relationship to human behavior in a community. The dilemma has been: what is right or wrong? People think that for all wrong, it is wrong for anyone. This is the concept of categorical imperative of morality that allows people to behave in the world and in thier community (Jones et al., 2010). This paper aims to discuss the ethics of technology in the context of classroom setting.

Discussion

Science and technology have brought enormous benefits to society. Everyone is aware that technological progress has made it possible to enjoy the material comfort and wealth. However, after further investigation, many people have realized that these forces have had mixed different effects (Tavani, 2012). It is also true that great benefits and scientific methods invented by scientists are not without negative influences on the planet in some way or another. A simple example of an automobile to clarify this point is that the car is a miracle of Technology that brings great convenience in transportation. In addition to the use of petrol, gas is also a useful resource for transportation but it is also increasing pollution (Heikkero, 2012). In fact, the Carbon emissions also play a vital role in our health and damaging the environment.

No doubt, different modern technologies like the nuclear one provide benefit to society in different aspects, but it can also be used to kill people through nuclear weapons. Today it is possible to cure cancer through radiation treatments. However, if you use them for destruction can lead to untold suffering with terrible results. Many of you may be wondering why you are required to have a background in technology ethics.
