The History of Science

Introduction

Charles Darwin (1809-1882) was an English scientist. During the years 1831 to 1836, he was taken on a scientific journey around the world with the ship HMS Beagle. During the trip, he began to consider whether the species in the wild changes in a similar way as the pets do by breeding plants through breeding. After many years of careful observation and analysis succeeded Charles Darwin develop a scientific theory that holds to this day. The Darwin's theory of evolution is begun in the 1800's. It was a very groundbreaking theory that many had difficulty accepting. This theory goes against the traditional view that God created all things unique (Antony, 1984, pp. 23-24). Darwin believed that all had the same origin, that all came from the same. Charles Darwin noticed that individuals within a species differ from one another, they vary. He also observed that the more individuals are born than survive to adulthood. Some individuals are dying because they are eaten by predators, the parasites become ill or that there is competition for resources, such as food. Those individuals that are best adapted to a particular habitat survive and can reproduce (Gilson, 1984). If the good properties are hereditary, they are passed on to offspring. The essence of Darwin's theory is that all forms of life including bacteria and reasonable shape are due to the blind mechanical phenomena of nature. In order to explain this phenomenon, Darwin developed two main principles. First, he believed that the genes of an organism changes randomly. In the future, if these random genetic changes are expressed in favorable properties of individuals, the organism survives and passes it to their offspring. If these changes are not favorable, the nature of individual and destroys it - new qualities of the individual (Karl, 2002).

Darwin was convinced that this infinite and random selection process regarding evolution of life. Thus, it was easy to call a man an evolutionary descendant of non-human primates, a little complicated in the biological sense, but still basically - in the same animal. The man, in his opinion, is not more than the sum of all biological accidents over the past millions of years. This work made a great impression on the contemporary world of science. It has spread rapidly around the world and soon waited until 6 issues. It is said that the work of Darwin coup in science, but really, it was a rather mythological ideological revolution in the minds of much of the scholars. But the fact is that Darwin has had a huge impact on the further development of not only science, but an atheistic worldview (Michael, 1998). Darwinism was the beginning of evil thrown overboard logical thinking. Perhaps it was motivated by escaping from the truth. Since the Enlightenment West shies away from the truth of philosophical (metaphysical) throws overboard the fundamental metaphysical concepts and philosophy of science taking the role of wisdom, the same it has usurped. Through Darwin's philosophical thinking in the Western ...
