Abstract

Stress is a state that distorts an individual's physical and emotional condition, such as being overburdened with work that results in someone getting overtired or being drawn into an argument with a fellow worker that leads to anger. Three stages of stress are observed: the alert phase, the control phase and exhaustion phase. Stress, for its part, is a very important factor in the production of myocardial infarction and brain. A stress response consists of a set of physiological responses whose primary role is to mobilize resources that will enable individuals to cope with unexpected events and potentially threatening. In this sense the stress responses are important for the survival of individuals. Stress disrupts the proper functioning of the nervous system. It accentuates the anxiety states, anxiety and depression, as well as panic attacks. It promotes insomnia. It disturbs sleep by increasing the nightmares. It causes headaches. It affects the ability to relax properly. It causes muscle tension, especially in the neck and trapeziums. It can lead to abuse alcohol and drugs.
