Introduction

Terrorism is a striking word that places fear into many. Since this world has been made, terrorism has always been there and caused some empires to rise where others to fall. Terrorism is a rising problem in every country and in every part of the world. Terrorism is a phenomenon that can break countries down in seconds and can deteriorate relationships in between. An example of such a case is Palestine and Israel conflict that started over the religious matter territory dispute amongst them. However, this terrorism should be taken into account and the ways to fight back. There are several ways to combat such terrorism. Firstly, anti- terrorism teams which are international teams that are always ready to fight back such terrorist threats should be called upon, and the lives of the hostages should be saved with a minimum loss. Secondly, gun control is the biggest issue which would limit the amount of weapons issues and access made by the terrorist to such weapons, legally or illegally. Last but not the least is to recognize the terrorist groups and organizations and to finish them before they could get a chance to attack.

Discussion

Terrorist groups and urban guerrillas throughout history have taken the lead in achieving their objectives through various means i.e. violent means and non traditional means. Attempts like bombings in Tanzania and Kenya and operations like guerrilla operations show that such type of urban operations will not cease and they will prolong till the next millennium. In developing countries, urbanization is rapidly increasing as population rates increases over the next 20 years. Therefore, the rural population has been migrating to urban areas to find employment. If these cities do not keep themselves up to the mark with the latest infrastructure and urbanization, the residents will become violent towards them. Unemployment rates will rise at a rising rate as more people will move towards cities where jobs are few to cater such a large flock of people. This will further give rise to diseases as they will establish shanty towns as there is no place to live and poor sanitation and very little food to eat for themselves and for their families. All these points discussed above will eventually give rise to terrorism as these people will have no choice other than to join terrorist groups and organizations.
