The Spirit in Church History

Introduction

The church of the Holy Spirit of Jesus is one of the organizations of the name of Jesus Christ Pentecostal largest in the world. The Holy Spirit is a real person. He was sent by God to dwell in the true followers of Jesus Christ after his resurrection from the dead and ascension into heaven (Acts 2). We Christians certainly believe in the words of Christ and their unfailing performance. Then we need to think about the above excerpt from his farewell conversation of Christ with the apostles at the Last Supper. The Lord says that a Christian should know "the Spirit of Truth, and the Comforter." Do we know him? And if you do not know, can we consider ourselves Christians?

If you search for the answer to this question in the history of the Church of Christ, then we can say that the first centuries Christians know and have seen them stay with the Holy Spirit. The doctrine of the Trinity was developed in close association with the New Testament evidence of the divinity of Christ, e.g. Phil. 2:6, Hebrews. 1:1-10. historically, it has developed in the West before the East. Theological doctrine of completeness, this was in the works "Cappadocia Fathers" in the period between the first and second ecumenical councils. Brothers, Basil the Great and Gregory of Nyssa and Gregory Nazianzen, launched a decisive explanation for the internal connection between a single entity (substance), and three persons (hypostases) of ...
