Introduction

Many Presidents have ruled over United States of America and they are remembered for their good policies, presidential achievements, faults or failures. Among the top ranked Presidents, there is always one name that can be found which is of Theodore Roosevelt. The 26th President of USA is best known for his remarkable political achievements and commitment to democratic policy and because of them he is considered as one of the best Presidents that America had.

Theodore Roosevelt popularly nicknamed as Teddy became the 26th President of United States of America in the year 1901 and remained in office till 1909. He was 42 years old when he took the office as President as the youngest President ever to take this position. In his childhood years he suffered from asthma and acquired home education. Later he went to Harvard University to study biology but started taking interest in naval affairs. He wrote books on many topics ranging from hunting to political issues and history. Later, he was running the Department of Navy when Spanish America war took place at which he resigned and formed a regiment that fought in Cuba. He became governor and later was appointed as Vice President of the state. With the assassination of the President of that time President McKinley he became President and later was elected for a full term of his own in the year 1904. During those years that he spent as President in the office he came up with so many policies that made him stand in the line of some of the best presidents of United States of America. He was a strong man whose policies helped in the identification of America as a courageous nation and in expanding the influence of America in the affairs of the world.
