Three Important People in American History

Introduction

In American history, every era has had distinguished people who, for better or worse, shaped their times. These notable people have helped influence people all over the world and still and stay alive through their names. These contemporary people ranges president who introduced significant policies that transformed the country, revolutionary leaders or social activists who inspired reform. Every person had experienced achievements and failures, prior to their names were inscribed in history for all time. This paper is intended to discuss three noteworthy people, from various ages and time periods, who have had a key impact on the masses and changed the course of American history. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln & Thomas Jefferson are worth mentioning people in the history of the United States who changed the future course of the nation irrevocably.

Being the first president of the United States, a statesman, military leader, and a farmer, George Washington is considered as one of the influential person in American History. He was referred to as "the father of his country” even in his own life time (Usel, p.5). He ranked as one of the greatest presidents of U.S. consistently, and not infrequently ranked in world history as one of the greatest men. He held three crucially important offices: the first president of the United States; Continental forces' commander in chief during the Revolutionary War; president and presiding officer of the Convention of 1787 that composed the U.S. Constitution. This simple list contradicts his matchless and exclusive contribution as the Revolutionary War might well have been lost without his military leadership. And throughout the drafting of the Constitution of U.S. and starting the government, without his distinctive personality directing the nation, the new state might well have faded out in belligerent factions (American History Online, para. ...
