Tracking device for animals (SMART GPS Chip Based Device)

Introduction

Our society is full of threats and dangers, every object whether living thing or non-living thing is unsafe and under various risks. Security is important for both humans as well as animals. It is a common misconception among people that security should only be for humans because others living things are not intelligent like us. Humans are social animals, if we can get security so why should it not be available to wild animals including both pets and animals living in jungles.

Security for humans is accomplished through several ways, but there must be some device for the security of animals. Animals living at forests and jungles are not under that many threats as the animals under human control (pets). Security for pet animals is a need of today's time, there must be some device for the tracking of pet animals with measuring distances. Suppose if I took my dog for a walk then the device must alarm me about the dog's location.

Animal tracker device is a need of every pet owner because all pet owners want the security of their pets. The reason behind this need is their love for the pets, a device must be designed that may help them to take care of their loved ones.

Nowadays we can find various types of animal trackers, but those are very expensive and out of reach of a common man. There is a need of economical and efficient animal tracker, a tracker that should alarm the pet owner when the pet goes beyond a particular distance. These animal tracking devices are also used by the wildlife research organizations for tracking animals for the purpose of studying animal migration, and to save them from becoming extinct.

Animal tracking devices available at the market are very expensive and show inaccurate results, there are very few devices in the market that use GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. This technology is usually used with collars not with chips. There is an accurate need of some device that use GPS system other than collars and harness because that increases animal injuries and indicate inaccurate results.

According to the “Australian Animal Health Survey” organization, reports of the survey and study of 2012 have indicated increased concerns of pet owners related to the animal security and animal tracking devices. Pet animal owners have increased complaints regarding the accuracy of the conventional animal tracking devices available at the market. Survey also indicates that almost 74% of the dogs reported at the Veterinary hospitals were injured from the collar attached at their neck. Results also indicates concerns about the harness attached to different animals, people usually drag the pet animals from ...
