Abstract

This study is about analyzing depression as it is a very usual dilemma that mostly arises next to trauma. It is comprised of some sad feelings and emotions that keep the mood low for a time being but sometimes last for a long duration. This is such a harmful disease that it damages one's personality. The purpose of this study is to describe the way to deal and overcome the disorders caused with the depression.

Introduction

Depression is a very usual dilemma that mostly arises next to trauma. It is comprised of some sad feelings and emotions that keep the mood low for a time being but sometimes last for a long duration. Depression disturbs daily life routine and the victimized person feels so complexity in performing his or her routine tasks with full concentration. It affects eating and sleeping habits that is supposed to be very unhealthy for a person. The victim no more feels happy and satisfied internally and loses interest in performing different activities and starts feeling hopeless. At this point, there starts a continuous struggle with disturbing and disappointing emotions. Depression causes as a result of some past bad experiences, and during depression, those hurtful memories create a feeling of danger and insecurity for future as well. It takes time to get out of these upsetting feelings and pain. In some case, the depression increases to such a high extent that its victim feels like killing himself in order to get rid of it (Reyes, et al. 2008).

Depression Occurs after Trauma:

Depression may often appear from out of the trauma, a trauma that is something so scary and terrible. It may be a reason of some bad and stressful incident that can be a break up, natural disasters, serious accidents, terrorist attacks and much more. Suffering with some painful dilemma that is caused as a result of hurting experiences or losses mostly lead to a severe problem called depression. For instance, the soldiers who lost their fight, when returned from their battle field may have hurtful and embarrassing feelings and regret of losing fight as well as losing their friends who lost their lives in the war against enemies. The survivors after that war may also suffer from the feelings of sorrow of losing their loved ones as well as insecurity of reoccurring of such disasters in future. These kinds of violent experiences may lead the victim to suffer through depression, anxiety and Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Most of the symptoms of PTSD have common characteristics with the symptoms of depression. For instance, in both scenarios, the sufferers go through problem in concentrating on their work, and managing their daily routine like eating and sleeping. People suffering from PTSD or depression feel irritation they do not feel internal satisfaction. Both major depression and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) take place often as a result of traumatic disclosure.
