Understanding the Nature of Dreaming

Introduction

Dreams are the expression of a person's subconscious mind leading to a succession of images, thoughts, ideas, sensations and emotions. Mostly, dreams occur when a person is asleep and the subconscious mind has the relaxation to access a person's innermost thoughts and desires and then represent them in the form of a video that plays in the mind of the sleeping person.

Dreams are the conception and also measured as work of art, which is parallel to fantasy. It is an important ingredient of mental functioning, where a focused waking thought is associated with dreaming. A dream is also defined as a chain of perceptual actions that strike the mind of individuals. People come across diverse kinds of dreams throughout their lives.

The aim of this paper is to research about the pervasiveness of the occurrence of dreams in people's lives. In addition, the research aims at identifying the how dreams are produced, and what reason they may serve.

Discussion

Dreams occupy fundamental position in psychoanalytic treatment and the interpretation of dreams are still not clear. Many theories have been proposed for dreams and its interpretation. There are different views and perceptions related to dreams, and different researchers have concluded it by giving their findings and views. This helps in better understanding and defining dreams, and the cycle of dreams. Though sleeping is a natural process, people are not sure that why they dream, or at times they are unable to relate themselves with their dreams. Sleeping and dreaming is further elaborated in this research paper, keeping in view the different theories and ideas related to dreaming and sleeping. Normally, every person dreams and only a dreamer can understand his dreams by trying to analyze and interpret it. Lucid dreaming, on the other hand has different meanings, lucid dreaming is a strange phenomenon in which a person is aware of the dream that he or she is dreaming.

What is the importance and reality of dream?

Contextualization of the Belief Personally, I believe that dreams are play an important role in shaping the spiritual side of human being. They help us in understating some clues. The importance of dreams can easily be observed by reviewing the literature of different traditions and societies. Almost all civilizations explain stories and possess one or the other thing to highlight the importance of dreaming. I may not be right about the idea and perception regarding the reality and practicality of dreams but I am sure that after completing this assignment I will better understand rational of dreams.
