ABSTRACT

In this thesis, I tried to explore the concept of the use of technology in colleges and how the students get benefit from using technology. The research also analyses the current technology applications and tools being used in the colleges in UK. The technology being used in colleges for educational purposes aids in facilitation of effective learning practices in order to enhance the performance of students, by utilising available, appropriate and advanced technological resources. However, there is a great advancement in technology during the recent years, and the colleges have also adopted the latest technology in order to benefit their students. There is a clear benefit of the technologies used in colleges, for enhancing the learning process of the students, which can be identified by comparing the colleges of today with times when advanced technology was not used in colleges. The research comprises of mix methodology approach, in which, the secondary research is conducted by reviewing literature from academic literature resources. The primary research is performed by conducting semi-structured interviews of the students and teachers of my college.
