WAR AGAINST DRUGS AND RACIAL PROFILING

Research Statement

“War against Drug and Racial Profiling is essential to eliminate the inequalities prevailing in the modern societies”

Introduction

Profiling can not only make links between laboratories, drug dealers, drug dealers and users, but also provides data on networks, organized crime, trafficking in drugs, the synthetic routes and precursors used. Profiling was initially a term that was used for racism, but these days profiling also highlights the use of drugs across the world. However, profiling at times is considered as an activity of pinpointing someone based on a general perception. In general profiling can be defined as a viewpoint against whole community based on acts conducted by individuals. For instance, Muslims are considered as terrorists in many Western countries including United States, and several other European nations. However, the view of government may be different, but it is a general phenomenon that is implied on overall Muslim community. Wherever Muslims travel, they experience racial profiling against themselves (Jadallah & el-Khoury, 2010). Similar is the case with several other ethnic groups living in diverse countries like United States of America. In comparison to that, the case of drug profiling is different. To many this term may be unfamiliar as majorly it is used as forensic profiling. In this case, a person's profile is scanned to know about his previous experience of drug usage. Profiling of any sort is becoming a social evil, and to maintain a balance in the human societies it should be eliminated. Elimination of this evil will reduce the different standards that are set for person belonging to other cultures than the natives.

Discussion

In United States of America, many cultures are living together. The reason behind that are the immigrants that travel to U.S to seek a suitable career. United States is a model country for many and people feel that career opportunities in U.S are far better than any other country across the globe. The mixing up of culture has given birth to racial attacks by Native American sot the immigrants. People who travel to the United States come up with their own heritage and cultural background. Among many are those as well who are involved in activities related to drug usage.
