Analysis of Water resources

Introduction

Water is one of the most abundant sources on the planet; we may agree with the statement, as the major part of the whole earth covered with water, and land is in less proportion. This may seem to arrive to a situation that there will not be any problem related to water, but the reality contradicts to this statement. On the contrary, more than one billion across the globe are devoid from clean drinking water. It is also said that, after 20 seconds, we see a child dying by suffering from diseases arising from water of low quality. However, globally women consume most of their time collecting water for their daily basic usage. It is said that the combined allocation of the one day time spend all over the world is more than 200 million hours. However, these problems still exist after the water abundance. The main reason is that the sea water is salty, and cannot be used for generating electricity and used as drinking purpose. Therefore, we see it and have access to water, but we cannot use it as a solution. Whereas, merely 2.5 percent of all water is freshwater that is safe for human consumption (Schtoth and Turner, 2011). Only a minute amount of water is available for a human being is because of the man-made fact. After the early twentieth century, we entered the era of industrialization, then globalization; thus, violating the natural resources, harming the water cycle and ecosystem which results in polluting water resources (Fretwell, 2005).
