Networks of Connectivity between Web pages

Networks of Connectivity between Web pages

Introduction

Background of the study

Traditional Web search engines take a query as input and produce a set of (hopefully) relevant pages that match the query terms. While useful in many circumstances, search engines have the disadvantage that users have to formulate queries that specify their information need, which is prone to errors (Baumgartner, 2009:105-108). This paper discusses how to find related Web pages, a different approach towel searching. In our approach the input to the search process is not a set of query terms, but the URL of a page, and the output is a set of related Web pages. A related Web page is one that addresses the same topic as the original page, but is not necessarily semantically identical. For example, given www.nytimes.com, the tool should find other newspapers and news organizations on the Web (Lutz, 2009: 133-135). Of course, in contrast to search engines, our approach requires that the user has already found a page of interest.

Problem Statement

In the few years since its beginning, the WorldWideWeb (WWW) has grown dramatically in the member of users, servers, and its geographical distribution. It has arisen as sociable form that people use to create, uphold, and become part of communities. These technologies for the first time allowed people of the all categories such as economic status, ages and backgrounds to feel opened to the new modern world. It has arisen as sociable form that people use to create, uphold, and become part of communities. Communication has always been one of the highest importances to members of any society. Internet has established a new way to interact among people through instant messaging, social websites. Moreover, to be in touch has become much easier and available than ever before. For instance, sitting at home and having tea, you can have a talk to people anywhere in the world, and also do online shopping. It also has taken a significant role in education; there are plenty of information resources and services for self- study training available on the internet. Indeed, the development of Internet technologies has brought convenience and benefits to the world.

Purpose of the study

The purpose of the proposed research will be to explore the network connectivity between the web pages with the help of Python as a web development tool.

Research Questions

How do the web pages which we use for our interests connect to each other?

Where are these vast ranges of information resources come from?

How do they interact with each other?

Risk & Limitation of the study

The main risk is time management. It is important to organize your project in such way, which you will follow doing separate tasks at precise time which you have given to yourself. For instance, background and literature review about your topic in first 3 weeks, writing programming code in following 2 weeks and so on. If we run out of the time we should decrease the complexity of the solutions to be ...
