Introduction

The topic is about a preschool teacher who has to work with ten 3-4 years old children in half day program. The program would last about 3 hours each day. The program has subscribed itself to the statement of National Association for the Education of Young Children entitled Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs Serving Children from Birth through Age 8. This paper presents a week-long plan with a curriculum for the program. This paper also highlights related philosophies, concepts and theories. The scope of the paper encompasses the teachers' pan and the children learning abilities even with mental and physical problems (Build, 2005).

Sample integrated activity plan

The integrated activity plan for math would include developing children on their individual pace. Students would be building their knowledge. Teaching would include repetition of things. Children would be made to engage actively in the math learning process. Students would be made working alone and with the team. Students should be made available to identify and count numbers from one to ten. One-to-one corresponds would be demonstrated to the children. The students would know the identification of money in terms of money, coins, penny, etc. They would know the comparative terms such as more, less, big and others. Students would learn the time units such as day, week, month and others. They would be able to know the basic shapes and sort out the objects according to their attributes. The activity plan of math may include the bead necklace as its patterning. Students would do egg carton counting which would increase their learning in counting. The students would be taught self-measurement with the help of yarn. With one-to-one correspondence, they would learn to set the table. They would be doing button sorting and making numerals with yarn. They can be taught measurement through weighing of apples or any other eatable (Guide to inclusive child care, 2012).

The preschool activities for science would include the making of decorative paperweight. Students would be taught to build a bird's nest. They would be made to play with pipes. They would be learning how to make mini ice sculptures. They would be fossilizing their footprints. Students would learn to make four season trees.
