Cinderella was originally written by. But it has adapted versions worldwide. Countries such as Russia, Spain, Portugal, India, China, Egypt, Japan and others have made similar versions of Cinderella. Perhaps the reason for it being so popular is that it has discussed some of the globally accepted concepts of triumph, jealousy and inequality. This story conforms to the worldwide accepted notion that in the end good prevails and bad is punished. In Japanese culture Cinderella's tale has been adapted in their movie and story culture. This paper examines the reasons of the worldwide appeal of this classic story. This story has conveyed the message of morality all over the world and its different adaptations in various cultures.

In Japan, the story of Cinderella is very popular. Miller says that the reason for this is that it teaches that how one can easily triumph a gloomy situation. It teaches that one can transform any situation into one's favor by working hardly. Miller says that this story appeals most to the working class (Miller, 2008). And it teaches everyone to believe that they can achieve big goals in their life and that nothing is impossible. It is also noted by feminists as a story that portrays the ideal characteristics of womanhood.

On the other hand, Cinderella's tale is entrenched in Japanese culture in the form of books, magazines and songs (Miller, 2008). Cinderella's character epitomizes the individual's success to overcome evil. A movie called 'I want to be Cinderella' was released in the year 2006 in Japan. In this story, there was a boy named Kuramochi Bon who used to work at a fast food restaurant. His duty was to handle the garbage at a restaurant. He was considered an ugly boy by other people around him. Being ugly, he was not even liked by girls. He was in love with a rich girl but was she did not like him neither did she know him. Fortunately, Bon gets to meet with a doctor who gave him a potion that transformed him into a handsome guy for the next twenty four hours. Bon uses that potion after being transferred to some other shop. Then he approaches the girl of his dreams ...
