The main purpose of this paper is to discuss that the main factors that attracted me to become a nurse. Nursing is a very noble profession to adopt. Nurses have to face so many challenges in this profession. In order to meet with such challenges, nurses make some short-term and long-term goals.

Since my childhood, I wanted to pursue my career as a nurse. This is because my mother was a nurse. From my childhood, I have seen my mother working for this noble cause. When I was a child, I used to go to hospital with my mother. I always saw her working for patients, taking care of them and providing them the best treatment. Since that time, I found this profession of a complete humanity.

My mother knows that I plan to become a nurse in future. This is the reason that from my childhood, she taught me basics about nursing. I saw her many times, giving treatment to patients, thus from my childhood I was trained as how to deal with patients.

In my examinations and assignments, she always helped me in providing best assistance to me. She always told me that to become a nurse one should make some short and long-term goals, which are as followed;

The main goal for a nurse is to pass the nursing exam successfully from the national board. After passing the exam, goal of a nurse is to utilize the graduate skills in the practical field. In the short-term goals, another goal is to become trained and professional so that they can perform their tasks effectively. Responsibility of nurses is increasing day by day; therefore, it is necessary for a today's nurse to have all the technical knowledge related to nursing field.
