Advantages of Trade Union

Introduction

The aim of this coursework is to discuss the advantages of trade unions. Trade unions are organizations whose purpose is to represent the interests of workers and to regulate the relationship between employers and employees. The volume of trade union organizations is not clearly defined. There are numerous compounds, gathering thousands of employees, as well as much smaller, numbering several dozen people. Trade unions represent different types of workers. Management generally does not belong to any trade, mainly because of the community of interest. The factories are typically the trade union organizations. They are represented by the boards of employers and employees. The most important reason for employees to join union is to improve working conditions and a desire to influence the environment in which they are located (Wooden, 1999).

The participation of workers in trade unions is an important determinant of the effects of work on health. It has been long argued that free trade and outsourcing bring benefits to all countries that participate in a free trading system. However, there are some issues that need serious attention from businesses, trade unions and the government. Most of the researchers agree that globalization can be seen as a new chapter of United Kingdom's growth as many UK's businesses now have opportunity to access foreign workers in other countries in order to save their cost.

Discussion and Analysis

No doubt, the trade unions raise voice for the working class people or employees of a company but if union leaders really want to fight for jobs, they need to target those who suppress the UK's multinational companies. They are capable to organize workers in order to secure employment for all workers in the factories and to prevent the relocation of jobs from the United States to another country. However, it has been seen that unions are active to take actions for improving working conditions, increasing wages, posing labour demands, etc. but they do not look serious to take a pragmatic move to prevent the relocation of UK jobs. Similarly, if the role of people or employees is analyzed, it can be seen that employees are also found engaged in fighting for better working conditions, flexible working hours and every issue that is not greater than the issue of jobs relocation (Charles, 1993).

Trade unions can create and join all employees, regardless of their base salary and employment dimension. A trade union may be established by at least 10 persons entitled to form trade unions. Every relationship has to be registered in the National Court within 30 days of the establishment of a relationship. At the time of registration of the trade union, it acquires legal personality. The object of the association is primarily a broad sense, protecting and representing the rights ...
