"Al capone was born on the tough streets if New York as a thug, aspired to the level of Chicago's underworld and became a powerful mobster."

Introduction

Alphonse Gabriel Capone (Brooklyn, New York, January 18, 1899 - Miami, January 25, 1947), better known as Al Capone or Scarface Al Capone (translated into Spanish Al Capone cut face), a nickname he received because of the scar he had on his face (caused by a knife cut), was a famous American gangster of the 20 and 30, although his business card said he was an antiques dealer.(Schoenberg, 18)

Childhood as a Thug

Capone began his career in Brooklyn before moving to Chicago and become the most important figure of crime in the city. In the late 20's, Al Capone was already in the list of "Most Wanted " FBI. His downfall came in the 30's, when he was imprisoned by the Federal Government of the United States for tax evasion and sent to the prison of Alcatraz. He died in 1947 in Miami Beach, Florida.(Iorizzo,54)

In 1918, he married a woman of Irish descent named Mae Coughlin (1897-1986) he just had a son Albert Francis Capone (1918-2004) (it will change its name to Brown in 1966) . He makes at least ten murders before moving to another area of Brooklyn where he works on behalf of Johnny Torrio, a boss of the underworld. In 1922, having proved his good intentions, Capone becomes Torrio's right hand.

The Capone emigrate from Italy to New York in 1894, and would be moved to a house on Navy Street street, at number 25. This street was located at the Navy Yard, a section of the streets of South Brooklyn, near the barbershop where he worked Gabrielle.(Schoenberg, 18)

Al Capone studies leave sixth grade in school at the age of fourteen, and then go to work in different places like a candy store located in a bowling alley in Brooklyn as a dependent. During that season, known to Capone gangster Johnny Torrio, and the young would be influenced by him to the point that Torrio was to become his mentor.(Mobsters, 332) Here begin Capone's criminal career.

Shortly thereafter, became mobster Frankie Yale's bodyguards, who prayed to Capone tasks such as extortion to different business owners to cede that part of their benefits.
