Impact of female nurses in the American Civil

Introduction

In the nineteenth century, most Americans assumed that there was a regular order in society which placed men and women in totally different spheres. The ideal woman was submissive; her job was to be a meek, obedient, loving wife who was totally subservient to the men around her. Ancestors claim that there were about 10000 women who served their effort and volunteered, and rendered their services as nurses on the entire course of the Civil War, most of the women who rendered their services as nurses belongs to northern states. Therefore, this assumption of figures is quite amazing. It found out that nurses have received appointment but, they refused to have their names documented, in the official record books. They exclaimed that they did not want any reward for the services they render, they only try to do all, and they can do for the wounded soldiers.

Every nurse had the same opinion about this decision, and later in stage they got trouble in the collection of pensions. Some of the nurses were also sent by state agencies and aid services. The fact is that names of the nurses were not in the document it was difficult to claim the accurate number of women, who served their duty as being nurses. The army and the national commanders expressed great gratitude and appreciations on the work they did in the 'American Civil War'.
