The issue of media violence has been the center of attention for a number of years now especially the effects of violent video games have been and still are being felt all over. Hundreds of studies of the effects of video games violence on children and teenagers have found that children may: become immune to the horror of violence, gradually accept violence as a way to solve problems, imitate the violence they observe on television and identify with certain characters, victims and/or victimizers. Video games are a type of mass media that has transformed connections. Regrettably, it has transformed us, too. It has developed to take up our free time more than any other type of entertainment. It has encompassed our lives to the degree that we frequently think of it as benevolent, if we think concerning it at all. Video games violence has been connected to the violent actions in children, though it is not apparent how much of an influence videogames violence really has.

All most all the television show depict violence in one form or another. If an average child watches 2 to 4 hours of television a day, then by the time he/she is in high school he/she would have seen over 8,000 murders and more than 100,000 acts of violence. Recent research acknowledges that televised violence is related to the aggressive behavior of many children and adolescents. The major new factor responsible for this is the marketing of visual media violence to kids.
