Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to analyse the corporate strategy, governance and ethical practices in a given organisation within the global environment in which it operates. The paper discusses the ways through which organization relates its competences to its environment by using its strategies and the impact of social, ethical, environmental, legal and governance issues on the organisation. The organization selected for the purpose of conducting an analysis is Apple Inc.

Analysis of Specified Organization

Apple Inc. has been started in April 1976. The founders of Apple Incorporation were Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. The main purpose behind establishment of Apple is to sale the personal computers named Apple 1. These computers have been sold as pallets or Motherboard: central processing unit (CPU) and memory for random access (RAM) chips and video - script core, these parts of course were less than which we consider to be personal computer in the present day (Baumann 2006 123).

Apple Inc. is involved in different businesses and offers different products and services including network solutions, services, software, servers and computer designs. Apple Inc. is running its business mainly in United States with headquarters in various cities including Cupertino and California. The company is currently running its business through 34,300 employees and as per the financial results Apple Inc. has increased its revenue by 14.4% from 2009 to 2010. The main factors behind the soaring increase in Apple Inc.'s revenue are the increased sales of iPhone handsets and application from the iTunes Store. Apple Inc. sales its products to almost all the countries. There are different sources through which the countries all over the world can buy the products of Apple including retailers and online delivery sales.

Analysis of Apple's Environment

Apple is concentrating on its environment since last 20 years. Apple is making all the efforts to reduce the impact of its products and services on environment. The business environment of Apple Inc. is competitive and is based on fast-pace. The suppliers of Apple are well aware of the dynamic and agile environment of Apple Inc. The business environment of Apple Inc. is very flexible in order to meet the changing trends and business conditions (Graham 2006 184). Apple believes on innovative environment and brings innovations in its products and services ion order to meet the challenges of changing world. Thus, it can be said that Apple's environment is very flexible and Apple believes on bringing innovations in its products and services in order to survive in the changing environment.
