Understanding key dimensions associated with job satisfaction can provide organizations insights into how best develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop employees. The aims and objectives of the research have been clearly stated in the article. The author has clearly defined all the terms like job satisfaction and the generations that have been selected for the research. The author has also elaborately discussed in the statement of the problem and purpose of the study. The research highlights various areas of the job satisfaction i.e. promotion, supervisor, work, colleagues and compensation. The reason of selecting this article is that I found it interesting the way the author has mentioned the four different generations and their perceptions about job satisfaction.

The most interesting part of the article is the literature review. According to the literature review, the organizations are the cooperative systems which have a requirement to follow a reliable way to ensure the efficiency of the employees by the means of indicators like job satisfaction, communication, organizational characteristics and motivation. This paves the way for bigger links with the main purposes of making the appropriate decision about the resolution or prevention of numerous difficulties which can arise for the present employees. The literature suggests there may be similarities and differences relating to job satisfaction among the generations (Antonakis & Cianciolo, 2004, pp. 53). The job satisfaction can be achieved through various types of activities which are being performed by the employess. For example, the work or tasks assigned to the employee shows or polishes his skills and offers a challenge which keeps the employee motivated and interested. Such employees have good compensation through their wages and the employers have better expectations from them as compared to the rest of the employees. The working conditions of the employees play a significant part in projecting the job satisfaction amongst the employees. The working conditions ought to be comfortable, safe and adequate for the employees so that they provide better and improved performances. Additionally, the employees of the organization prefer to work under such managers and supervisors who are understanding and friendly and are available for them when in need. The article says that job satisfaction has been researched by many professionals in hope for improving the work performances as it will result in facilitating the goals and achievements of the employees. This will lead to satisfaction of the employees (Komives et al, 2009, pp. 67).
