In my opinion the credibility of the TV reviews done by magazines or newspaper is more as if they do not do the review properly then there are chances that they can get sued. Moreover, if the review is not credible and not up to the mark then there are chances that the readers won't consider that magazine or newspaper again.
The weekly reviews that are done by TWOP are excellent feedbacks for the show producers. They can use these feedbacks to improve the quality of the shows, and add what they their viewers most like and want to see in the shows. Survivor, American Idol, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries and Grey's Anatomy are examples of the TV shows that are constantly reviewed by TWOP (Malhotra, 2006).
The biggest disadvantage of blogs in my opinion is the perspective they create in the readers mind. If a blog writes against any product or service then the readers and daily visitors of that particular blog take that their review as something final and authentic and start spreading the word about it which can harm the image of the product or service in discussion.
