Abstract

Biotechnology has made many improvement in the last decade. Biotechnology has made it possible for the cheap and plentiful output of such disease-fighting agencies as insulin and interferon; numerous people have been adept to reside longer and healthier resides. Its pledge in advanced farming output is exciting. And even without considering the functional penalties, we have the outlook of a New World of knowledge about life itself and the essential constituents of our own humanity, our own individuality, as disclosed in our characteristic genetic codes. Is genetic technology a safe pattern of biotechnology in our society? Many scientists believe so, as long as they don't make a mess of what they're doing. Others say it's not because scientists might create a big mess and might cause an epidemic of a new and unknown disease. Iaccept as true that genetic technology could be unsafe.

Genetic technology is utilised to take genes and segments of DNA from one species and put them into another species. Genetical technology presents a set of methods to slash DNA either randomly or at a number of exact sites. Once isolated one can study the different segments of DNA of another cell or organism. Genetic technology makes it likely to shatter through the species barricade and to shuffle information between completely unrelated species. Biotechnology encompasses “all the studies and techniques that combine the ideas and needs of biology and medicine with engineering. “In the public mind, however, biotechnology has mainly come to be associated with a range of controversial applications in the areas of genetic engineering, medicine, human genetics, and the forensic use of DNA. Introduction

Currently, we are constantly fed with the prophecy that biotechnology is the next revolutionary "wave" to replace the information technology that will change the way we lived for the past 50 years. In the past decade, scientists have made significant breakthroughs in this field for the start of the current biotechnological advertising. Scientists from all over the world are desperate for a sub-atomic level, in order to identify other secrets yet unknown men today. This historic success debunked all the previous myths of biology, which has called cloning as anything but fantasy. Now it is possible that we have used cells from an adult organism, to create genetically identical to another organism. Suddenly, it seems science fiction story of human cloning has become a not-too-distant possibility.

Biotechnology is the application of industry achievements in the field of methods and tools for research in the biological sciences. The practical use of DNA and genes, called genetic technologies or genetic science is one of the fastest growing areas of research in biotechnology.
