Blooms taxonomy of education

It is a set of learning objectives proposed by a committee, which was chaired by Benjamin Bloom. It was proposed in 1956. From 1949 to 1953, a series of conferences were held to improve communication among educators regarding curricula and examinations. It is a set of learning objectives set for students by educators. Bloom divided the learning objectives into three sections. They are cognitive, affective and psychomotor. In the year 2000, revised version of taxonomy was presented (Office of medical student education, 2004).
