Executive Summary

The effective communication assist organization is reducing the number of duplicate activities and delays. The researchers and theorists claimed that if the inter-departmental communication is weak then there are high chances of delays in operations which results into lower productivity. Problem in this scenario is the communication gap that occurs between different people of an organization with diverse background. We can here take an example of a multinational corporation that has its network scattered throughout the globe. In this organization, people belonging from various countries collaborate with each other to get the business going. In addition, differences in the significance of nonverbal behaviors may provide for misunderstandings in intercultural communication. Thus different cultures regarding the manner and extent to which such gestures, eye contact, touch behavior and emotional facial expressions while communicating occurrence or desirable. Non-verbal expressions are so important that in the literature, when it comes to issues such as eye contact, spatial distance and touch behavior, distinguishing between 'contact cultures' and non-contact cultures.
