CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISES

Cardiovascular Exercises

Introduction

Life is beautiful! Everyone in this world wants to live a happy and healthy life. There are certain crippling diseases that snatch all the liveliness and energy of life away. This in turn, restricts individuals to allow different pleasures of this life. Heart diseases are one of those crippling diseases. It is the general perception of the people that whenever one suffers from cardiovascular diseases it becomes difficult for that person to get back to healthy life. However, this is not the truth. Besides proper medication an individual who suffers from cardiac problem can take care with the help of exercises and various cardiovascular aerobics. The aim of this paper is to talk about the affects of cardiovascular exercises.

Thesis Statement

The aim of this research is to explore positive impacts of exercises on cardiovascular patients. The phenomenon of exercises is so broad so, the research is divided into four sub topics. These four sub topics are as follows:

To determine what are the factors that prevent heart patients to indulge in activity of exercise.

To know whether low fitness, which is partially attributable to genetics and partially attributable to regular exercise, associated with increased incidence of CVD or not?

To determine predictors of Exercise Activity Maintenance in African Americans and Caucasians in Middle Adulthood.

To determine the impact of doing exercise with music on heart condition.

Discussion

The health benefits of exercises are numerous and well documented. Exercise reduces overall mortality and specifically reduces incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD), as well as CVD mortality. Despite the numerous physical and mental health benefits of regular exercise, 25-39% of adults in the United States report being physically inactive during their leisure time (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2003; Schoenborn, Adams, Barnes, Vickerie, & Schiller, 2004). The aim of this research is to investigate factors associated with maintenance of moderate to vigorous exercise of cardiac patients. The Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults study (CARDIA) was designed to document risk factors for coronary artery disease in young adults. Since 1985, CARDIA has documented the self-reported physical activity levels of its participants. A report by CARDIA demonstrates that the pattern of exercises among participants in the CARDIA study from year 0 to year 15 based on responses to the Physical Activity History questionnaire changes in amount of reported physical activity by age, time of examination, sex, race, baseline physical fitness, education, employment, marital status, and recruitment site. This report shows some of the reasons that may restrict or prevent a cardiac patient to indulge into exercise regime (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2003).

There is some debate regarding the issue of fitness as risk factors for CVD, CVD mortality and general mortality. Is low fitness, which is partially attributable to genetics and partially attributable to regular exercise, associated with increased incidence of CVD? Several studies have found an effect of fitness is predictive of all-cause and cardiovascular disease mortality in models that included measures of fatness such as ...
