Process improvement plans are significant method that involves restructuring, changing a process and further improving a process in the organization or individual. The basic purpose of generating a flowchart was doing cardiovascular exercises in order to challenge the body in different speeds, improving the body stamina in burning more calories using the treadmill. The objective of this paper is to complete a process improvement plan that will include the statistical process control, which has been recognized in week one to guarantee that the process will carry on significantly. Furthermore, this paper will delineate the control limit of exercise routine process, the effect of any seasonal factors and the confidence intervals (Rubin, 2004).

All measurable processes exhibit variation that can be characterized as belonging to one of two classes: common-cause variation and special-cause variation. Common-cause variation is often unexplainable and unavoidable without fundamental changes to the underlying process. Special-cause variation is attributable to a specific cause that may be identified and corrected. The quality control chart is used to detect and address special-cause variation. Additionally, the control chart is used to quantify and avoid overreaction to common-cause variation.

Statistical Process Control

An all-encompassing view of processes included not only manufacturing operations but also service areas such as sales and accounting functions. Companies adopted various strategies for continuous improvement. An important commonality was reliance upon actual process data to monitor systems, inform decision makers, and guide the continuous improvement activities. International standards were eventually established to ensure that total quality management programs followed certain basic principles and practices (Bandura, 2007).

Statistical process control is based on statistical thinking using both statistical and non-statistical methods for analyzing and solving problems in order to implement actions necessary to achieve and maintain a state of statistical control processes and continuous improvement of their stability and reproducibility. The purpose of SPC is to involve in testing a random sample of output from a process that will establish whether the method is generating items within a preselected range. Process improvement is an ongoing process that must be implemented correctly (Rosenbaum, 2004). This is the reason the researcher has chosen his daily workout, however, there are many problems and situations that can affect the exercise routine, like an individual, who thinks that his/her work with the ribbon is the game, which slows the process. However, the process of regular exercise may be more effective, increasing the level of training as provided in burning calories.

Control limits

Control limits can be defined as the horizontal line on a control chart that symbolizes a boundary for a process (Chase & Aquilano, 2006). The overall operating time for the researcher's exercise routine is twenty minutes. It can be made much more effective and productive if the researcher will add additional 25 minutes every time he will use the treadmill.
