Introduction

This article provides the description about the workers of the Foxconn workers. W would be discussing the concept of Apple Inc and social responsibility. Since, this age of science and technology and the continuous advancement of technology have led to increase the business in being efficient and effective. Apple Inc is a multinational company which deals with various consumer products such as computer software, personal computers and consumer electronics.

Discussion

Apple is a company which deals with customers all over the world. The employees working at Apple should be provided every benefit which is in their favour. The principles of human resource management also assure the employee safety provision and benefits. As it mentioned in the article, Foxconn workers were made to work for long shifts, and made to reach unrealistic quotas. Apple is committed to providing highest standards of social responsibility which ensures safe working conditions for the workers and treats them with dignity and respect. The manufacturing process should also be according to the standards. There values also define these principles clearly. The industry leading training programs make sure that the employees are facilitated maximum in every field they function (Jeffrey, p. 56).

Recently, the site of the newspaper, The New York Times published an article according to which in the past 10 years, Apple has become the most successful enterprise in the world, but the success of the labor costs of Chinese workers, substandard, working conditions, and many cases of harassment of employees. China is a major supplier of Foxconn City, which employs about, 230,000 people among them many are working on the weekends customarily carried out for 12 hours in the shops and the fourth part of the lives of workers in the factories are Foxconn, a daily wage of workers less than 17 dollars. It should be noted that, at present, state of Apple employees in the United States has 43,000 people and has 20,000 overseas. Production network of Apple moved to other countries, not only because there is cheap labor, but also due to the fact that workers are more active, hardworking and capable. One former Apple executives once said that the speed and efficiency of the Chinese struck in the U.S. no one compares to them.

Last year, the employees of Apple helped in creating a revenue of more than 400 thousand dollars; a figure surpassed that of Goldman Sachs, Exxon Mobil and Google.
