Pros & Cons of Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing is an online platform though which you can store or access your documents anytime from anywhere. A cloud computing user is free of the boundaries of a single specific desktop. It not only let you to store documents or files but also the software needed to access and changes them. Its best-known forms in consumer markets are Amazon “S3” and “Google Docs”, but a large number of companies provide such services for bulk storage and handling of corporate, public service and government data. The theory is that end-users no longer need a complex and expensive computer with ecologically damaging hard drives and CD-DVD players, or memory- and power-hungry local software.

Advantages of the cloud computing is given below:

•For the cloud computing, you don't need to have any costly or a latest version of computer for running the cloud computing applications. You don't necessarily need to have a high processing speed in your computer or a free space in your hard disk like how other desktop software demands. No matter your carrying a less expensive PC with or less memory, the application will be running in the cloud instead of running into your computer. Even don't need to have a CD/DVD drive installed in your PC as you're not installing any software or saving any document.

•Few programs make your computer performance slow but in this case of cloud computing, you'll see that the system is booting and running faster as there wouldn't be much programs and processes loaded in the memory.

•You do not need to purchase expensive software applications as most of them you'll fine here. Today most of the cloud computing applications are freely available like for example “Google Docs”. It's much better to connect to cloud computing instead of paying 150 or 200 dollars at purchasing at software.

•Another advantage related to software is that the software downloaded by you would be a web based and in this case the updates will automatically approach to you and will also be available for the next time when you'll log into cloud.

•In cloud computing there is no problem of change in a document's format like how a user of Windows-2007 faces in opening a document of Windows-2007 in a Windows-2003. All types of documents can be opened easily at cloud computing form any where any time.
