Introduction

Although the stories and poems that have been discussed in this paper might differ from their plot and climax, but they share a common theme of race/ethnicity among the people of the United States. Since the abolishment of slavery in the United States the issue that were related to slavery and racial discrimination took a new turn. The Americas region has one of the most complex demographic realities from the point of its ethnic composition. For our own history of conquest, colonialism and immigration attracted the confluence of more ethnic groups than any other in the world.

Despite the limitations in quantifying the various ethnic groups in the countries of the region and within each, the estimated existing numerical evaluation of the importance of ethnic groups and indigenous African origin.

In order to have a brief overview of the incidence of ethnic groups in the region, are provided below are some statistical estimates available from different sources.

It is estimated that the total indigenous population of Latin America and the Caribbean between 45 and 50 million people (10.18% of the total population). 90% is concentrated in Central America and the Andes. For their part, American Indians reach the 1.6 million people (0.65%)

Thesis Statement

This universe is a mixture of people from different race culture and creed. Irrespective of racial/ethnicity after the abolishment of slavery in America, justice prevailed all over in this context.

Argument and Literary concept

The central idea of the theme is that racial discrimination in a social factor involved in the provision of health differentials between individuals. Discrimination in terms of health operates through different ways: poor access to services, poor quality of available services, and lack of adequate information to decision-making or through indirect mechanisms (lifestyles, rather residence, type of occupation, income level or status of individuals). The actual historical process subordinated ethnic region and slowed the process of building the identity of these groups and thus the devaluation of the "other" sometimes identified by skin color or especially noticeable aspects of their culture and the language or dress. The product of this process of segregation and self creates itself through disease, the greater stress on individuals, the harsh living conditions and difficulties in accessing health services.

Then, reduce the gaps in the field of health contributes not only to improve the health status and individual life, but also to reverse the historical deprivation and create the minimum conditions to break the way you came and supported the strengthening (empowerment) of ethnic minority groups and therefore in their ability to positively influence the construction of multiculturalism in the region.
